Katie is my seventeenth cousin twice removed…or something like that. 🙂 I’m exaggerating a bit because I have no idea how to count the generations and marriages that separate us on a family tree, but we’re cousins in the way that most people in a small town are.

I’ve watched her grow up on ball fields and courts and the last few years seen her blossom into one of those radiant people you just want to know. You know what I’m talking about. The rare gems you run into out in the world that just exude warmth and goodness. She’s beautiful, no doubt (you’ll see that easily in the images below), but it’s deeper than that. Katie is down to earth, humble, and kind. She loves those around her with a love that is pure and deep and is genuine to the core.

I first met Tyler in late October last year, so while I haven’t known him nearly as long, I can tell you this without a doubt – he is devoted to Katie. He is dedicated to nurturing their relationship, sharing great times together, and creating a family and life to be proud of.

I am SO excited to see where life takes these two!

Tyler and Katie said “I do” in our family church, Evangelical United Methodist, surrounded by their family and friends. Afterward, we joined them at a fun reception at Packsaddle Ridge Golf Course in Keezletown, Virginia. The weather was amazing – just right temperatures, cloud cover over the skies that diffused the sunlight perfectly. When we hit the tip top of the golf course, the rays of sunset shown through for the most amazing portrait lighting.
